management biography

Jeff Miller, Vice President of Flight Operations, joined AirTran Airways in May of 1996. He is in charge of the company’s flight operations and its 1,700 pilots, check airmen, flight training and flight standards group.

Jeff has more than 30 years experience in aviation both in management and flying positions. Jeff’s prior position at AirTran Airways was General Manager of Flight Operations. He is a Captain on the B-717 aircraft and before joining AirTran Airways, Jeff served in the Air Force for 20 years.

Jeff received a bachelor of science degree from the United States Air Force Academy, and a master of science degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology. Jeff, his wife, Felicity, and children reside in Orlando, Florida.
