Tad Hutcheson Vice President, Marketing and Sales
Tad Hutcheson, Vice President of Marketing and Sales, joined AirTran Airways in 1997. Hutcheson oversees marketing, sales, promotions, partnerships, public relations, charitable giving, community relations, the loyalty program, and the company’s Web site, airtran.com. Prior to AirTran Airways, Hutcheson served as director of strategic planning and later vice president of marketing for KIWI International Air Lines. Hutcheson also worked in both the planning and marketing departments at Delta Air Lines where he served on Leadership 7.5. A native of Lookout Mountain, Tenn., Hutcheson graduated from The McCallie School in Chattanooga. He received a bachelor of arts from King College where he majored in both French literature and business administration. In addition, Hutcheson completed international marketing studies at St. Peter's College, Oxford University, and the International Business Institute in Europe. Hutcheson also earned an MBA from Wake Forest University. An avid public speaker, Hutcheson has delivered key addresses at the Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism, the Public Relations Society of America Conference, the American Marketing Association, and the American Association of Advertising Agencies. In addition, Hutcheson frequently lectures on business and travel related issues at universities. Hutcheson is a graduate of Bristol Leadership Tomorrow and Leadership Atlanta. Hutcheson belongs to several professional organizations such as ASTA, AASMA, NAAPRA, NBTA, and SKAL, and serves on several marketing advisory boards such as the Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitors’ Bureau marketing committee. A Paul Harris Fellow, Hutcheson is a member of the Atlanta Rotary Club. In 2009, Hutcheson received a Centurion Award from Hope ATL for his work with the homeless. A resident of Atlanta, Ga., Hutcheson is involved in the community and serves on the Boards of the Atlanta Business League, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Central Atlanta Progress, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement, King College, Leadership Atlanta (former board chair), the Metro Atlanta Arts and Culture Commission, the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and Oglethorpe University. Hutcheson is a member of The Church of the Apostles. He and his wife, Janin, a Boeing 717 pilot, make their home in downtown Atlanta. |
